Arrive in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa, where you’ll spend the next three days exploring one of the world’s most iconic cities. Based on availability, you’ll stay at one of these sister boutique properties: the Cape Cadogan, located in the heart of the city, or More Quarters, located in the foothills of Table Mountain. Both hotels are close to Cape Town’s key attractions and just a short walk from Kloof Street with all its shops and restaurants.

Ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain to take in the spectacular 360 views of the area - make sure to go when the famous “table cloth” clouds are clear. The port has been redeveloped into the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, home to shops, restaurants and a variety of entertainment. From here you can sail on a catamaran to Robben Island for a historical tour of the prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.

Visit one of the numerous beaches that surround the city - a favorite of ours is Clifton Beach near Lion’s Head promontory. If you’re feeling very adventurous, you can even go White Shark cage-diving!

MARATABA SAFARI LODGE, MARAKELE NATIONAL PARK

A private concession of the Marakele National Park in the Waterberg, Marataba Safari Lodge will be your home for the next two nights. Your tented suite with a beautiful stone bath, and indoor and outdoor showers, has a private deck that overlooks the bush to the majestic mountains beyond.

Spend your days in the bush on game drives looking for the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) as well as antelope, giraffe and cheetah. Your guides will know the best places to get up-close-and-personal with the amazing wildlife.

LION SANDS GAME RESERVE, KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Combining elegant, modern light furnishings with African dark woods and artwork, Lion Sands Lodge has been family owned since 1933. Your glass-front, thatched villa is a ‘lodge within a lodge’ with a beautiful bedroom, bath and outdoor shower as well as a luxurious lounge area. Take in the breathtaking views of the river, where you can often spot elephants and other wildlife, from your private deck complete with a plunge pool. With only six villas on property, you will relax for your final two days in secluded luxury.

Home to 147 species of mammal, 507 species of bird and 336 species of tree, Kruger National Park is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse parks in Africa. Go off the beaten path and visit the most remote region of the park, the Northern Sector, for a real wilderness feel. Very few visitors come this far north, but our guides will take you to the best viewing spots to the see the Big Five and more.
